Nemrég Petra, a
A nyolc lemez között lapult a
Mente is, melyen különböző, a népi díszítőművészetben is megtalálható sujtásos díszítések találhatóak.

Recently Petra, founder of Pet'la Plate contacted me if I was interedted in creating some stamping designs with her plates, and that she would send me some. Of course I said yes, but to be honest, I was expecting that I would receive around 3-4 plates, so when the package came and it was not 3, and not 4 but 8 (yes, that's right, EIGHT!) plates in it, I was blown away. Thank you so much again, Petra! :)
Mente was one of the plates that I received. So, what does mente mean? It is hungarian for pelisse, and it often has a soutache (in hungarian: sujtás) decoration on it. A soutache is narrow flat decorative braid, a type of galloon, used in the trimming of drapery or clothing. (Information from the Pet'la Plate website, here: http://www.shop.petlaplate.com/collections/all/products/mente)
Pet'la Plates are made of brass, they are heavier than the usual stamping plates and their quality is excellent. They are manufactured here in Hungary. They don't have a protective shield thingy on the back, but that's no problem because the edges are not sharp at all. :)
