I don't wear dresses often. In fact, I'm more of a tomboy-ish type of girl, most of the time I wear jeans and simple shirts, but nothing "girly"  - weird, if you count the nails, right? :D

Moreover, I’m really short (157cm – around 5’1½), and despite my height, I don’t like to wear heels – platform shoes/sandals with small heels, maybe, but shoes with proper heels – not my style. And because of this, sometimes I feel like dresses make me look even shorter. Despite this, once in a blue moon, I do wear dresses when it’s sort of mandatory – events, weddings, etc. And because of this, sometimes I do like to look at dresses. My favorite style (I don’t know fashion terminology, don’t judge me!) is A-line, and also, skater dresses, knee-length or a tiny bit above my knee (forget longer dresses, they make me look tiny).

Also, when I’m creating nail art, I like having inspiration. In these last few months I have been kind of low on creativity, so I always welcome other types of inspiration to get me going – patterns, colors, etc. And dresses are a pefect fit for that! (Ha! See what I did there? :D) I browsed a little on FashionMia.com – a site that has tons of affordable clothing items, accessories and dresses for women – and found 3 dresses that inspired me to create them into nail art, because why not? I believe you can find nail art inspiration in anything. :)

Look No. 1

The first nail art look was inspired by this abstract print cyan skater dress [link]. I also added a few rhinestones for a bit of sparkle.

Products used:
ÜNT Ready for Takeoff (peel off basecoat), Moyra Gel Look No. 918 Constance, China Glaze Liquid Leather, Beauty Bigbang 002 Black stamping polish, UR SUGAR stamping plate UR-L006, BORN PRETTY No-wipe Gel Topcoat, BORN PRETTY Turquoise 3D Rhinestones (item ID #39197, color #1)

Look No. 2

The second nail art look was inspired by this stunning black bodycon dress with lace details [link]. I really like lace patterns, especially as negative space stamping, so that's what I went with this time, and because I was curious how it'd look matte, I also tried it with that. Which one do you like better? :)

Products used:
ÜNT Ready for Takeoff (peel off basecoat), Moyra Classic Collection No. 06, China Glaze Liquid Leather, Beauty Bigbang 002 Black stamping polish, Pet'la Plate Laces stamping plate, BORN PRETTY No-Smudge Topcoat, Moyra Mega Gloss Topcoat, OPI Matte Top Coat

Look No. 3

The third, and final nail art look was inspired by this v-neck skater dress with abstract patterns [link]. I went with a more abstract look, but I think it looks good. :) FashionMia actually has a lot of cheap skater dresses, you can find them out on their site.

Products used:
ÜNT Ready for Takeoff (peel off basecoat), Moyra SP.07 White, Moyra Coral Collection No. 212 Salmon & No. 215 Feel Love, China Glaze Liquid Leather, Striping brush, BORN PRETTY No-Smudge Topcoat, Moyry Mega Gloss Topcoat
